We’ve created a system that prioritizes people, not paperwork. Your time, your story, and your healing all matter here.
We offer an integrated approach to anxiety treatment focused on relief, recovery, and long-term support. Our most common treatment options include:
Your provider will conduct a comprehensive video assessment to fully understand your symptoms, history, and goals. Accurate diagnosis is the first step toward effective care.
Anti-anxiety medications and certain antidepressants can significantly reduce anxiety symptoms. Our psychiatric team carefully prescribes and monitors medications tailored to your specific diagnosis.
We don’t believe in “set it and forget it” care. You’ll meet with your provider regularly to adjust your treatment plan, discuss what’s working, and receive continued support.
Note: We also collaborate with therapists and counselors if therapy is recommended in conjunction with medication.
Anxiety is complex and often influenced by a combination of factors, including:
Genetics: A family history of anxiety can increase your risk
Brain chemistry: Imbalances in neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine
Life experiences: Trauma, abuse, or chronic stress
Health conditions: Chronic pain, thyroid disorders, or substance use
Personality: Certain traits (like perfectionism) may increase vulnerability
At Proverbs, we don’t just treat symptoms—we explore the full picture to understand what’s contributing to your anxiety and how to address it long-term.
Here are some of the common symptoms of anxiety:
Persistent worry, dread, or fear
Racing thoughts or difficulty concentrating
Insomnia or disturbed sleep
Rapid heartbeat or shortness of breath
Muscle tension or headaches
Irritability or restlessness
Avoidance of certain places or people
Panic attacks or sudden waves of fear
Gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea, cramping)
While some anxiety is a part of life, it becomes a disorder when it affects your ability to function, focus, or enjoy daily life. If you’ve noticed these symptoms for more than a few weeks, it’s time to seek professional support.
Anxiety comes in many forms, and each person’s experience is unique. Our psychiatric team is trained to recognize and treat a wide range of anxiety disorders, including:
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)Chronic, excessive worry about day-to-day life—often without a clear reason.
Panic DisorderSudden, intense episodes of fear that may include heart palpitations, sweating, and a sense of losing control.
Social Anxiety DisorderExtreme self-consciousness or fear of judgment in social or performance situations.
Specific PhobiasIrrational fear of objects, places, or situations (e.g., flying, heights, needles).
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)Persistent intrusive thoughts (obsessions) followed by repetitive behaviors (compulsions).
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)Anxiety symptoms following a traumatic experience, including flashbacks, nightmares, and hypervigilance.
Separation Anxiety DisorderIntense fear of being apart from loved ones, commonly experienced by children—but also adults.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a normal, even helpful, response to stress. It sharpens focus, increases awareness, and prepares us to handle challenges. But when those feelings of worry, dread, or panic persist, even when there’s no clear reason, it becomes a disorder that interferes with your everyday life.
Anxiety disorders are not just about “being nervous.” They can be deeply disruptive, physically draining, and emotionally exhausting. But with the right diagnosis and treatment, they are also highly manageable and often fully treatable.
Our team helps people with anxiety all the time. We understand that simply making an appointment can feel daunting. Know that we’re here to help and easy to reach. You can book online, text us, and meet your psychiatrist from the comfort of your home.
We help you take control of anxiety, depression, and overwhelm—so you can start feeling like yourself again.
